Soniccouture @ Berklee
By Soniccouture | 19.08.2024

Berklee College Of Music is using a full suite of Soniccouture instruments in its Summer Program for Film, TV, and Video Games.
Berklee lecturer Daniel Wehr told us why he chose Soniccouture as the tools for his course.
“I created my curriculum around theme writing and development, scoring to picture and music dramaturgy, synthestration and mixing. During the span of the course, teams of students compose and produce a cohesive cue that is then screened for high-profile Hollywood composers.
In order to accomplish this objective, I need to have access to a high-end, virtual instrument palette. Soniccouture’s excellent sounding instruments and their practical approach are essential in engaging my students. They help make lessons more compelling, fun, and valuable.
Soniccouture’s instruments never fail to amaze. Their organic performance programming and detail impress, and their innovative colors add an originality to the world of hybrid scoring that inspires and excites my entire class. Easy to integrate and fostering creativity, the instruments expand the traditional orchestral palette. My students’ favorites include Box of Tricks, Haunted Spaces, Glassworks, Geosonics, Sun Drums and Grand Marimba. These instruments bring their cues to the next level and open the doors to new sonic worlds.
What I love most about Soniccouture’s instruments is the ability to jump right in. Soniccouture’s exquisite samples paired with intuitive and easy-to-use interfaces allow me to cater to all skill levels. At the final screening, the audience is blown away by my students’ cues.”
